How to use PBR textures in Maya

  1. After you download and extract the Greyscalegorilla Plus Material; go to Maya, open the Hypershade Editor > Create Panel click Arnold then select "aiStandardSurface" from the list.
Click to view full size image.
  1. On the left list select Arnold > Texture > aiImage node. Then connect it to "Base Color" input of the material node. Select aimage node go to Property Editor panel then browse and select texture file and set the Color Space to sRGB.
Click to view full size image.
  1. Repeat same process for "Specular Roughness" and set the Color Space to RAW since it's a non-color data texture. And connect "Out Color G" to the node input.

Then do same process again for "Normal" and set the Color Space to RAW since it's a non-color data texture. For Normal map you also need to add Arnold > Shader > aiNormalMap node and connect it to the "Normal Camera" input.
