3) Start Blender. Go to the “Edit” menu and click “Preferences”

4) Select Add-ons from the left side of the dialog, then click the Install button on the top right and browse for the downloaded Connectors > Blender folder.

  • If you're using Blender 4.2, click Extensions on the left, and then click the down arrow icon on the top right to access the install button.

5) After you click Install button navigate to extracted Connector folder and select the Python file "greyscalegorilla_blender_connect.py" then click "Install Add-on" button.

Click to view full size image.

6) Then you'll see the connector plugin. It's gonna be grayed out at first (type "Greyscalegorilla" in the search box on the top right if it's not listed), then click the box to activate it. And close the window.

7) Launch Greyscalegorilla Studio App and select Blender as 3D Application from settings then close settings window.

8) Click "Connect" button. The button color will change to green and show it's connected to Blender. Now you can use the assets from GSG Studio App.

Updating the Connector Plugin

When a new update for the Connector is released you will first need to remove the existing one.

After removing the previous version you can now follow the Installation steps again to install the new version. Then you can run Blender and use the new connector immediately.
