How do I get and install my plugins?

Before installing your plugins, be sure to remove the old plugins first.

Delete old versions of the plugins

Before installing any of the Plus plugins please make sure to remove the Light Kit Pro, GorillaCam and Signal plugins from Cinema 4D.

Windows

  1. Find your plugins folder
    • R20 - C:\Program Files\MAXON\Cinema 4D R20\plugins
    • R21 - C:\Program Files\Cinema 4D R21\plugins
    • S22 - C:\Program Files\Cinema 4D R22\plugins
  2. Delete the GorillaCam and Signal directories from this folder.

macOS

  1. Find your plugins folder
    • R20 - /Applications/MAXON/Cinema 4D R20/plugins
    • R21 - /Applications/Cinema 4D R21/plugins
    • S22 - /Applications/Cinema 4D R22/plugins
  2. Delete the GorillaCam and Signal directories from this folder.

Getting and Installing the New Plugins

  1. First make sure you have installed the HUB. Click here for those instructions.
  2. In Cinema 4D go to the "Greyscalegorilla" menu and open the HUB by choosing "Greyscalegorilla HUB".
  3. Press the "Sign In" button on the top right.
  4. A dialog will appear where you can enter in your email address and password that you used to sign in to www.greyscalegorilla.com.
  5. Once you are logged in, and if you are a Plus subscriber, then you will see a list of plugins appear in the Products section.
  6. Select individual plugins to install by checking their checkboxes, or you can press the "Select All" button to check all the plugins available.
  7. Now press the "Install" button on the right hand side.
  8. Please wait while all the plugins are downloaded and installed for you.
  9. Once they are installed a dialog will appear telling you that the plugins were successfully installed and to restart Cinema 4D.
  10. Restart Cinema 4D.
  11. Your plugins are now available to use. You can find your plugins listed under the Greyscalegorilla menu as well as tags in the tags menu and scripts in the "Extensions→User Scripts" (or "Scripts→User Scripts" for R20).
