Greyscalegorilla Studio vs. HUB Comparison

What is Studio compatible with?
Studio is a standalone asset library application for Windows and macOS, designed to connect with major 3D applications for effortless one-click asset transfers.
- Studio and HUB assets folders must be set seperately.
- Studio materials are built with industry standard PBR textures.
- Send with Triplanar feature is exclusive to the Studio and feature is available for Cinema 4D, Blender, Houdini and Adobe Substance Painter.
- The HUB is still how all of our plugins get installed. So, if you use our Cinema 4D plugins, you'll still need the HUB. Studio can replace the Plus Library.
- Procedural materials such as car paints, neons, and certain types of glass and liquids are exclusive to Cinema 4D HUB for now. (Arnold, Octane & Redshift)
- Cinema 4D users can work with HUB and Studio simultaneously. Please check this guide.
