Is the Cinema 4D HUB going away?

Cinema 4D users can choose to use the HUB and the Greyscalegorilla Studio App simultaneously. The HUB may offer a more streamlined workflow for some users, while Studio provides a more unified experience across different 3D applications. You can see the comparison here.

Is this an extra charge?

No, all Active Plus Members get access to everything, including the all new Greyscalegorilla Studio and the new Connector Plugins for Blender, Cinema 4D, Houdini and Unreal Engine.

Are there any Limits or Credits with this new system?

No, Active Plus members get access to EVERYTHING in the Studio Library on day one. Learn more about our licensing here.

What 3D Applications are supported? Do I need to purchase a different Plus subscription for each application?

For ease of use, we’ve created Connector plugins specifically for Cinema 4D, Blender, Houdini, and Unreal Engine. For other software, please download any and all assets from Greyscalegorilla Studio. Our textures are industry standard PBR, our HDRIs are standard EXR files, and our models are standard FBX files. All of our assets will work anywhere PBR, EXR and FBX files are supported.

Do I need to purchase a different Plus subscription for each application?

Plus supports all major 3D software with a single subscription.

Can I use the materials I've already downloaded through the C4D HUB with the new Studio App?

No, the new Studio Library is built from the ground-up to be more compatible with all 3D apps. So, you will need to re-download your favorite assets from Greyscalegorilla Studio and save these in a different folder than the HUB assets to use in other 3D Applications.

How do I install the new Connector Plugins?

I'm a returning C4D customer who just bought a new Subscription, but the HUB is not working, what do I do?

Please uninstall and reinstall your HUB to refresh your licenses. You can find out how to do both in our Cinema 4D HUB Installation Guides article.

I'm a new Plus member with Cinema 4D and can't sign in to the HUB. What should I do?

If you are experiencing other login issues, do a fresh install of the HUB. Please take a look at our Cinema 4D HUB Installation Guides to see how to uninstall and reinstall the HUB. If your issue persists, please contact support.
